INTERVIEW WITH DANCER SARAH BELLO

Sarah Bello is a dance major at ACC who was born and raised in Austin, Tx. Her favorite color is pink, her favorite show is Gossip Girl and her favorite style of dance is Jazz. She is expected to graduate with her Associate of Arts in Dance this spring with hopes to continue her dance career at Texas State University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Dance. Sarah is a dancer in the 2021 Fall Choreographers’ Showcase performing a piece titled, A Wild Love for the World, by Darla Johnson. This dance explores the beauty and the importance that our planet provides for us and how we are also destroying our planet at the same time. This unique piece has an actual pendulum swinging on stage to express how “time keeps going on and on and we are just stuck doing the same thing.” Sarah hopes that this piece will inspire others about the importance of global warming and climate change. Sarah has enjoyed the entire process of the solos, group dances, and transition sections. It’s great to witness how they are all coming together into one amazing twelve-minute work of art!
