INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER M. BULLOCK

 

M. Bullock was born in San Antonio, TX. They moved around central Texas up until 2016, finding a second home in Austin, TX. Despite all the chaos in life and moving, M. could always be found dancing. Whether it was at a grocery store, in a talent show, or playing Just Dance on the Wii, they were always dancing. When M. moved to Austin in 2016, they were finally able to take dance classes through school and found out about the ACC dance program through their high schools’ yearly dance events.

Joining the ACC dance family slowly after the craze of 2020, M. has now been to the American College Dance Association with ACC in Spring 2023 and has traveled to North Carolina for the American Dance Festival at Duke University in Summer 2023. They have taken the ACC Choreography class in both Fall 2022 and Spring 2023, creating the pieces “Waltz, Interrupted” and “A Feather as Light as The Sun.” They have enjoyed taking this class again, with newfound experiences in such a safe place.
