INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER NATHALIA MACHADO

 

Nathalia Machado is in her third semester as a dance major at ACC. She is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and has been living in Texas for about four and a half years. Nathalia has been dancing for thirteen years, her dance background comes in relationship with ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, and contemporary modern. For this showcase, she is thrilled to share her work, “UNKNOWN.” 

This piece consists of a seven-minute choreography based on movement exploration, exploring the consequences of movement inside our bodies. It is inspired to bring suspense, energy, and to build a strong relationship between the dancers and the audience. Finding what is the unknown for ourselves when it comes to movement.
