INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER RICKY DASHNER

 

Ricky Dashner found his passion for dance in the color guard of his small-town high school band. He moved to Austin, Texas in the Spring of 2020 to pursue a degree in Dance at Austin Community College. He has performed in collaboration with Roxanne Gage and Jun Shen. Still studying, he has felt honored to perform professionally with Sally Jacques in Blue Lapis Light’s “Belonging II Universe,” and  Ellen Bartel, Catherine Solaas, Melissa Sanderson, and Darla Johnson in “Dance Carousel.” He hopes to continue to share his growing love for the art of dancing on earth and in the air!
