INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER JASMINE BOONE

    Jasmine Boone grew up in the theater, making her a lifelong lover of musicals and the performing arts. While her background is in acting, she has always loved to dance. After graduating with her bachelor’s in Communications from Lamar University in 2022, she spent a year working on her MBA, before returning to what she truly loves: the world of theater and performance.  

'Everyone is Waiting'

    Everyone is Waiting is a self-reflective piece using a trio of dancers to represent various stages, emotional states, and growth throughout my life. Building this dance required acute inward reflection, which was scary at times, but ultimately served as a necessary form of therapy and recovery. Ironically, the piece would not exist without conquering my worst fear; accepting myself. The stages of life are divided into three characters: Daughter, Girlfriend, and Woman.
