INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER TONI HAMMLER

Toni Hammler was born in San Diego but raised in Newport News, Virginia. She moved to Austin in 2012. She is a Health Science and Dance major. Toni has a wide range of dance techniques, some of her favorite styles are Hip-Hop, Modern, and Improv. She started dancing at ACC in 2018 as a source of entertainment and motivation while attending school. Originally, she was not a dance major, but due to the fact that she had taken so many dance classes over the past few years, she decided to also major in dance. Toni is set to graduate and receive her AA Degree in Dance this Spring of 2023. After graduating, Toni plans to go to nursing school. Toni says that she loves ACC Highland Campus and sees herself taking classes even after graduating.

Toni’s piece titled, "Here for a Good Time, Not a Long Time", expresses having a good time, letting go of worries, and creating relationships while allowing everyone to be their most authentic selves. She hopes the audience will feel happy and free. Maybe they'll be inspired to get up and dance. Welcome to Toni's joyful party!
