INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER BRITTANY MORIN

Brittany Morin is a mother, a teacher, a fan of classical music, and among many other things, a dancer.  Brittany has two sweet boys to care for and as a result of the pandemic has been getting to spend a lot more time with them as a family at home.

Throughout her life, Brittany has lived in several parts of the U.S. including Tennessee, Wyoming, California, and of course, her time growing up in Austin, TX.  In Brittany’s last chapter with ACC, she has her eyes set on Texas State University.  Her goal is to earn her BFA in Dance, a vital part of her plans to continue teaching dance even further.  Brittany hopes to teach at the high school level and would love to direct her own program.  Even though she’s had performance experience, Brittany focuses on her strengths in coaching and shaping her students.  Brittany’s final choreography performance for the ACC Dance Department is entitled, Appreciate Life, and is soft and insightful in its presentation of her love for her family and everything else to be appreciated in life.

Watch Brittany’s dance on film, Appreciate Life, December 4 & 5 at 7:30 pm. Visit the  Austin Community College Dance page for tickets and live streaming information. 100% of contributions fund dance student scholarships
