INTERVIEW WITH CHOREOGRAPHER REBECCA WOOD

 

Rebecca Wood started dancing at six years old in her local dance studios. She kept her passion alive in the Round Rock Dragon Band as a member of the Color Guard, where she worked her way into their Assistant Captain position by her senior year. She graduated from Austin Community College in 2023 with her Associate of Arts in Social Work and is currently pursuing her Associate of Arts in Dance. Rebecca has performed under the direction of Melissa Sanderson, Catherine Solaas, and Darla Johnson in Ellen Bartel’s “Dance Carousel” in 2023. She’s had experience in previous showcases with ACC’s production teams and is excited for the opportunity to share her work on stage this semester.
